Thank you for your feedback. Katisaa Road was not included in the project scope for the past financial year. However, construction work is currently underway, starting from Kwa Kombo through Kativani, Katisaa and extending to Mwasangombe. The County Government remains committed to improving road infrastructure and ensuring better connectivity for residents.
The Emali/Mulala Ward Music and Cultural Festival took place on 3rd November 2023 at Springhill Kwa Kakulu CTTI as part of preparations for the County and National Kenya Music and Cultural Festival (KMCF).
At the Ward level, the allocated budget was utilized for:
- Hiring tents and a public address system.
- Paying adjudicators for their services.
During this event, 40 performing arts groups competed in various categories, including music, dance, elocution, and exhibitions. From these, 40 groups qualified to proceed to the County Music and Cultural Festival held on 9th and 10th November 2023 at Wote Green Public Park.
At the County level, the budget was allocated towards:
- Hiring buses to transport 386 participants (133 male, 230 female, 106 youth, and 15 persons with disabilities) to the event.
Following this, 39 groups from Emali/Mulala Ward qualified for the National Level KMCF, held from 1st to 9th December 2023 at Wote Technical Training Institute (WTTI).
At the National level, the remaining budget was used to facilitate the transportation of 360 participants to the event.
Clarification:
The budget was fully utilized to support logistical aspects of the festivals, including transport, venue setup, and facilitation of adjudicators. Kindly If there are any specific concerns regarding participant support, further clarification can be provided.
